Troy- Carolyn G. (Schipano) Meliti “Carrie”, 94, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022. Born in Calabria, Italy she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Katherina Schipano. Carrie is predeceased by her husband Frances Meliti and her daughter Catherine Green.

Carrie moved from Italy at the age of two settling in Albany. She and her husband were very active at the ICC in Troy including the bocce club. Many thanks and love to her nephew Robert DeMeo and his husband Anthony.

Carrie is survived by her two brothers, Salvatore and Anthony Schipano (Dorothy). She is also survived by her daughter, Louise Yanson (John). She will also be missed by her five grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 4pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY 12189. A Catholic service will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 10am with entombment following at St. Mary’s, Troy.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
