Hattie Mae Arrington, 89, departed her life at home Thursday morning on September 22. Originally from Clarksdale, Mississippi. Daughter of the late Lois Lee McClinton and Joseph Wright.

She is survived by children Emma Leigh (Andre), Bobby McNeal, Diane Arrington-Stokem (Kenneth), John L. Jr. (Deneen), Shannel Martin; and a host of grandchildren to great-great-great grandchildren, sisters Esma Mitchell, Delois West Johnson, Doll Helen West, and Claretha Floyd, brother Charles Ghoston.

Preceded in death by husband John L. Arrington Sr., son Anthony Lawrence, two brothers and two sisters.

Special appreciation to granddaughters, Michelle Leigh-Evans, Leah Butler, Benita Leigh-Lewis for the loving care provided to her over the past two months; grandson Loren Arrington, and great-grandson Jamel King for their love and support.

The family would also like to give a special thanks to caregiver, Betty who was there to assist and support the family with Hattie’s care.

Hattie Mae was employed by Memorial Hospital.

Memorial contributions may be made in Hattie Mae’s name to the Mount Calvary Baptist Church: Missionary Fund or Building Fund.

Family visitation hours are Friday, September 30 at 11am. Followed by 12pm funeral services at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, 58 Alexander St., Albany.
