WATERVLIET - Francis Constable, 90, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022.

Born on November 8, 1931 in West Shokan, NY to the late Harold and Myrtle (Cambell) Constable.

Frank served proudly in the US Army during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. Upon returning from the war, he worked for a few years driving tractor trailers and buses. After that he went to work for the USPS as a mechanic before retiring. After retirement, he served as a sexton at the Jermain Church in Watervliet and enjoyed cooking for the Saturday Night Dinners. He was life member of VFW Post 729. He enjoyed spending time with not only his family but his beloved pets as well. He had enjoyed attending services at the Good Shepherd Church of Green Island. His hobbies were camping, fishing, and bowling. He was a die hard NY Mets fan.

Frank is survived by his loving children, Francis Constable Jr. (Laurie), Veronica Kolkhorst (Arthur), Barbara Castle (Michael), and Emily Constable; his cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Gunwaldsen (Justin), Nicholas Constable, Laura Lee (Michael), Kayla Demarest, and Michael Castle Jr.; his adored great grandchildren, Mason and Ava Lee, Mackenzie and Cyrus Gunwaldsen; as well as several nieces and nephews. Francis was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Nancy J. (Davis) Constable.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 1st at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 30th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, NY.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made in Frank's name to The Community Hospice Foundation, Gift Processing Center, 310 South Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208.
