Maxine P. Thomson, 71, passed away on June 20, 2022 surrounded by her loving family at St. Peter's Hospital.

Born on October 18, 1950 in Albany NY, she was the daughter of the late Max and Apollo Goldsmith.

Maxine graduated from Cardinal McCloskey High School and then spent her career working for the State of New York in the Tax and Finance Department. In Maxine's free time she enjoyed camping with Dan and spending time with her son and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Daniel Thomson, her son, John Skpowski and wife Monica of Charlton, NY; four grandchildren, Brionna, Morgan, Madelyn and Brayden Skpowski. She is also survived by her sister Jackie Goldsmith (Sandy McAvoy) of Troy NY, and Rosemary Mastrionni of Sacramento, California.

Family and Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 10:00am – 12:00pm at New Comer Cremation and Funerals, located at 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie, NY. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens, Albany NY 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd, Albany, NY 12205

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Maxine’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society by visiting cancer.org, or mailing a contribution to American Cancer Society, PO BOX 42040, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
