John Keyser Life story video
Rensselaer- John E. Keyser "Jack", 93, passed away at home with his family on June 16, 2022.

John was born February 19, 1929 son of the late Charles Edward and Elizabeth (Van Wart) Keyser in Staten Island, NY.

John married the love of his life Nancy Stage on October 28, 1950, with whom he shared 72 years of marriage. John was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country in Korea where he was instrumental in building a grade school. After returning from his service, he worked as both an automotive and electrical mechanic. He was employed as both throughout the duration of his career and went on to own his own business.

John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many. He and his wife Nancy put over 200,000 miles on their RV's on their various trips throughout North America. He was a longtime member and served on the Vestry at The Church of The Redeemer in Rensselaer. John and his wife Nancy were both longtime members of the Adirondack Bluegrass League. Their greatest memories however, were the times they spent with their children and their families. John leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his wife Nancy; their children, David Keyser (Kathleen), John Keyser (Jennifer), Norman Keyser, Nancy Hardt (Mike), Janet Spath (Bill); 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Wesley Keyser, Natalie Romer and Virginia Wagoner.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 9-11am at The Church of The Redeemer, 1249 3rd St., Rensselaer, NY 12144. A Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am. Interment will follow at Gerald B. H. Solomon National Cemetery.
