1969 - 2022
She was a graduate of Tamarac High School where she made many lifelong friends. After high school, she attained a degree from Bryant and Stratton College specializing in medical assistance/phlebotomy. Bekki had a love of music, flowers, gardening, and birds. She enjoyed being outdoors and especially loved visiting the beach in New Smyrna, Florida and Willis Lake in Wells, NY. She also enjoyed Schroon Lake in New York, often visiting for the summer vacation.
Bekki is survived by her long-time partner Frank Meehan, Scotia, her children Adam Whittet, Alex Whittet, and her precious daughter Ainsley (Kevin) Whittet. She is also survived by her brothers Randy, Ryan and Robbie Miller as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family. She will be greatly missed by her cousin and dear friend Dawn Timberlin, and dear friends Alison (Teta) Dean, Aimee (Teta) Bornt, Rhonda (Merrills) Haines, Jennifer (McCarey) Hunt, and Daniel Kane. A special thank you to Bekki’s neighbors who were also a source of great strength and support. Also to the staff on A5 at Ellis Hospital for their great care and compassion.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY, from 4:00pm – 7:00 pm with Celebration of Life Service to begin at 7:00pm.
Memorial contributions in Bekki’s name can be made to: Maitland Audubon Society, Audubon Center for Birds of Prey, 1101 Audubon Way, Maitland Florida 32751 and the Berkshire Bird Paradise, 43 Red Pond Rd, Petersburgh NY 12138.
