Carol was born on September 29, 1970, the daughter of Carl and Claire (DiPace) Roberson.
In addition to her parents, Carol is survived by her grandmother, Emogene Roberson; sister Christina (Frank) Noguera and her beloved niece, Jenna Noguera. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Carol is lastly survived by her two beloved cats, Phoebe and Finn.
Carol was a graduate of Albany High School and Saint Rose College. She worked for a number of years with NYS Legislative Bill Drafting before going to work for the Albany City School District until the time of her illness.
Carol was an artist, avid reader and lover of anything science fiction. She fell in love with Star Trek and Star Wars as a child and would not miss a movie or series.
Carol’s true passion was her love of dance. She took an after school class at the age of 6 and never stopped. She took classes, taught and choreographed for Cindy’s Academy of Dance. She won countless awards over the years for both her dancing and choreography. She taught numerous children over almost the last 40 years. It was truly her passion and she loved passing on her knowledge and love to all of the children that she taught. She was not just a part of a dance studio, it was a dance family. Cindy Gentile taught her everything she knew and is a member of her family. Her dance family stepped up over the past years during her illness with the love and support that was needed for her and her family.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and condolences; Dr.Adamo, at Albany Medical Center who took such good care of her through her many surgeries; All the doctors,nurses and staff at Albany Medical Center and special thanks to Dr. Susan Weaver, NYOH, who had given her such complete and compassionate care over the last five years.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday May 15th from 2 to 5 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road Colonie. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Monday May 16th at the funeral home. Internment to follow at Our Lady of Angels.
