Schenectady- Carl R. DiCerbo, 78, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 surrounded by his family. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Sadie DiCerbo. Carl is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy A. DiCerbo.

Carl was a member of IBEW 236 and the Italian American Society. He was a volunteer with Stanford Heights F.D. holding the ranks of Chief. He also worked for Knolls Power in Niskayuna before his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Carl is survived by his children, Ronald DiCerbo (Nancy), Tricia DiCerbo and Robert DiCerbo (Kristen). He was also the loving “Papa” to Allison (Bill), Austin, Peter, Sareena, Mark, Nico, Rylea, Brogan and Nolan. He will also be missed by his sisters Rose Marie Conde and Lydia DiCerbo and many nieces, nephews, cousins and members of the Stanford Heights Fire Department.

Carl is predeceased by his two daughters, Kimberly and Theresa DiCerbo and one grandson Thomas; his niece, Nadine Kilcullen; brother; Michael DiCerbo (the late Carol) and sister; Philomena Zautner (the late Joe).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation, PO BOX 348390, Sacramento, CA 95834-8930 or to the American SID Institute, 528 Raven Way, Naples, FL 34110 or online at SIDS.org.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 12pm-3pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11am at the Church of St. Clare’s, 1947 Central Ave., Colonie, NY 12205. You must park in the main parking lot and enter only through the main parking lot doors. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Schenectady.
