Shirley A. Olds, 52, wife of Harry Olds Sr. of Schenectady, passed away November 14, 2021 at Ellis Hospital. Born December 30, 1968, in Schenectady, NY she was the daughter of the late Lucille Chaney & Isaiah Sturdivant.

She graduated from Albany High School. She graduated from Albany Business College and Mildred Elley with degrees in Business and Accounting. She married her husband Harry Olds on October 7th, 1998. She worked for Janitronics until she passed. She was a faithful member of New Jerusalem Home of the Saved Church. She assisted with God’s Soup Kitchen, The Nurse’s Station, Kitchen Duty and wherever else she could fill in for the church. Shirley was always ready and willing to work in the house of the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and faithful friend. She was fun and charismatic and loved pulling pranks on her family. Shirley made it a point to be a blessing everywhere she went, and she touched the heart of everyone that she met. Shirley’s sweet spirit, infectious laugh and warm hugs will truly be missed.

She is survived by her Spouse, Harry Olds Sr. of Schenectady. Her faithful Mother-in-Law, Bertha Olds of Schenectady. Her children, Harry Jr. (Jessica), Markeise Sr., Jasmine, Shanasia, Shavaun Markeise Jr. and Malachi Olds of Schenectady. Her stepchildren, Keila Nelligan, Jamie (Taylor), Joshua and Jacob Olds of Schenectady. Her siblings, Lavinia, Tommecello, Ulysses, Rita, Marcia, Sheena, Alicia, Shakim, Yolandu, Joseph, Joshuwah Sturdivant od Albany and a host of other Siblings, Nieces Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandchildren, and In Laws.

In addition to her Mother Lucille and her Father Isaiah, she was predeceased by her Brothers Lavette and Michael Sturdivant and her stepson Jonathan Olds.

The Homegoing Service for Shirley will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. The burial will follow at Vale Cemetery, Schenectady.
