Thomas Moretti, 75, passed away on October 6, 2021. Born in Hornell, New York, on February 10, 1946, he was the son of the late Donald and Shirley McKee Moretti. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna (Comerinsky) Moretti, son, Jeffrey Moretti and his wife Laura, and daughter, Kari Moretti, as well as two grandsons, Thomas John and Ian Scott Moretti, who were the joy of his life.

Tom is also survived by his five siblings: Margaret Rasmussen (Don); James Moretti (Susan); Michael Moretti (Debbie); Donald Moretti (Karen); Gina Matteson (John); 13 nieces and nephews, as well as aunts Rose Ann O’Connor and Mary Theresa Purtell and Moretti and McKee cousins.

He retired from CSX Rail Corporation after 38 years as a brakeman and conductor.

Tom excelled at sports in his youth. His exceptional baseball abilities led to his induction into the Hornell High School Hall of Fame, an honor he was very happy and proud to accept. Tom looked forward to and enjoyed visits with siblings, cousins, and Hornell High classmates when he returned home. He enjoyed fishing, watching New York Yankees baseball, and Rochester Americans and New Jersey Devils hockey.
