Schenectady- Keith Childs, 69, of Schenectady died on October 6, 2021. He was born on September 7, 1952 in Albany to Rita (Empie) & William Childs
Following his graduation from Shaker High School, Class of 1970, he joined the US Air Force, attaining the rank of Sergeant and was honorably discharged in May 1977. Later in life he continued to honor his military history by riding with the Patriot Guard Riders.
Keith was employed by various local hospitals as an x-ray technician, eventually retiring from Albany Memorial Hospital.
Keith is now at peace with his wife, Beverley.
Keith is survived by his brother, William (Karen) Childs of Latham; his children- Sandra (Loren) Carpenter of Schenectady, Emerson (Amber) Childs of Schaghticoke and Jennifer (Jeffrey) Smith of Niskayuna.; 7 grandchildren- Tiffany (Jon) Csontos, Stephanie Carpenter, Autumn (Nathan) Childs, Summer (Sebastien) Childs, and Austin, Benjamin and Connor Smith; 3 great grandchildren- Keegan & Serenity Carpenter and Eddy Csontos. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, as well as his cousin and riding buddy, Kent (Buck) Cummings.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rita & William Childs and his wife of 31 years, Beverley Childs.
