Born in Brooklyn, NY, her family moved to Middleburgh, NY when she was 3 years old. She attended Middleburgh High School, and then went on to Nurses’ Training at Albany Medical Center, where she graduated as an RN.
She is predeceased by her husband, Joy Misenhimer, and her daughter, Leslie Misenhimer Shainline.
Marty is survived by her children, Steven Misenhimer (James) Michael Misenhimer (Deborah) and son-in-law, Michael Shainline. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sarah Clermont (Aaron), Myleah Misenhimer-Frary (Brent), Mikayla Pecan (Dan) and Lukas Perry (Kristin Loker) and by her 9 great grandchildren.
Marty and her husband, Joy raised their 3 children in the villages of Nassau and Voorheesville, NY. She loved music, and sang in the Senior Choir at Voorheesville United Methodist Church, and was also active with the Schenectady Light Opera Company.
