Colonie-
Mario Positano, 82, died suddenly May 1, 2021. Mario was an avid golfer, and belonged to the Shaker Ridge Country Club, and most recently golfed with a group of seniors from Colonie. He loved traveling with his companion of many years Maria Monteiro, taking a yearly trip to Italy or Portugal, and spending winters in Florida. Mario loved life and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He watched and played many sports, including golf, soccer and football. He was a proud Army veteran (E-5) and business owner in Watervliet (M & S Tile).

Mario is survived by his daughter Tammy (John) Seres, granddaughter Marisa Seres, companion Maria Monteiro, 3 siblings, many nieces and nephews both here and abroad, as well as a host of local friends.

Per his request, there will be no services. He wanted others to remember him fondly and spend more time with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to the American Heart Association, 4 Atrium Dr #100, Albany, NY 12205.
