He was born on October 9, 1953 in New Jersey to Edna and William Lyness.
Before he retired, he worked as a Sales Representative for several building manufacturers. Mike was known for his quick wit, great sense of humor, and his willingness to help others.
He is survived by Lucia, his wife of 47 years; his son Vladan; daughter Lydia; son-in law William; sister Agnes; brother-in-law Steve; and grandchildren Willy, Aaliyah, and Raphy; his nephews and nieces Beth, Sarah, Robbie, Theresa, Fiona, Dominic and Billy.
He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers Bill and Dennis and his sisters, Kathy, and Mary.
Mike dearly loved his whole family and he will be greatly missed.
Gathering from 10 AM – 12 PM, Service at 12:00 PM on Saturday April 10 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Peters Hospital for Mike’s care.
