GUILDERLAND – Frank H. Hans passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021.

He was born on May 6, 1932 to the late Frank and Emma Hans.

Frank lived a life of giving and hard work. He retired from BASF after 38 years. He served four years in the Army and after leaving the service, joined the NY National Guard where he served for 44 years.

Frank was also active as a reserve Bethlehem police officer for 23 years. His devotion to country and community were very important to him.Frank loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. He also loved the NY Yankees, Frank Sinatra and a little black dog named Scotty.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Barbara; six stepchildren, Mark Desano, Scott Desano, Paul Percey, Penny Percey, Gloria Percey and Paula Rice; five grandchildren, Nicole Rice, Katharine Ganley, Karac Mantello, Victoria Capo and Dennis Oxendine; seven great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren, nephews, James Robertson and Tom Robertson and niece, Carol Stephen.

He was predeceased by his sister, Catharine Robertson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Avenue, Albany. All are invited to attend. Gathering size at the church will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of the church.
