Johnstown, NY- Steven Jay Burke, 65, passed away unexpectedly on March 28, 2021 due to complications from a long illness.

His caring and generous heart left a beacon of light for his family, friends, and community.

Born in Panama, Steven grew up in Rhode Island and later found peace in his move to Johnstown, NY.

Steven will be remembered for his bright mind, love of history, warm friendships, kind heart and sense of humor.

Steven is survived by his sisters Kathy Burke of Rhode Island and Karen Carithers of North Carolina, his nephews Alec Silvestro and Dylan Carithers, and many close and caring friends. He will be greatly missed by all.

Steven is predeceased by his parents Raymond and Lillian Burke and his sister Kelly Silvestro.

A private ceremony will be held by family in Rhode Island.
