ALBANY - Timothy C. “Tim” Peregrim, 62, of Albany, passed away at his home after a courageous lifelong health battle. His loving family and friends were able to enjoy wonderful visits and laughs with Tim the last weeks.

He was born on September 6, 1958 to Timothy and Clara (Carpenter) Peregrim of Saratoga, New York. Tim graduated from Stillwater High School in 1978. Tim proudly served his country in the Marines from 1978 until 1985. He lived his life like a true marine and he was the bravest person his family knew. He spent his career working as a Biomedical Engineering Technician at the VA Medical Center in Albany, NY.

Tim celebrated 20 years of an amazing marriage with his soul mate, Anita M. Peregrim (Hanselman). Tim and Anita lived a life full of love and joy with their beloved cats, Lewis and Clark. All through his life, Tim had a positive outlook, no matter what. He never complained, ever. Instead, he always had a joke, many times at his own expense. Tim enjoyed Jimmy Buffett, golfing, Quiddler tournaments, March Madness and a challenging jigsaw puzzle. Tim and Anita had many opportunities to travel and he also valued family time, visits and celebrations.

Tim was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife, Anita; his daughter, Ryan (Matthew) Diebold and 3 grandsons, Gabriel, Levi and Grayer; his 3 sisters Claire (Edward) Sheridan, Carol Ann Simpson, and Effie (Richard) Vartigian. He is also survived by his wife Anita’s family, who loved and cherished him, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 9, 2021 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Open visitation will be 10:00am - 12:30pm, with a private service, for family only, to immediately follow with Military Honors. Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of the chapel.
