Frank D. Carey, 78, passed away peacefully January 16, 2021. Born in Lawrence, Mass. he was the son of the late Frances and Katherine Carey. Frank was a graduate of Linton High School and Union College. He proudly served 24 years in the Military with the Army and Air Force. He worked for the Department of Labor as an Investigator.
Frank loved reading and had a large collection of books. He was a huge fan of the Boston Celtics and enjoyed watching games. He also enjoyed woodworking.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by wife Carmen Carey and stepsons: Carlos Torres.
Frank is survived by his son, Christopher (Danielle) Carey; daughter, Diane (John) Bloom; stepchildren: Raymond Torres, and Nelida Halvey; grandchildren: Jacob and Gracie Bloom; and Ex wife, Elizabeth Carey.
A graveside service will be held Thursday January 21st, 2021 at 1pm at St. Michaels Cemetery, 58 Grove Street Amsterdam
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204.
