In Memory Of
Elizabeth "Betty" Mahigian
1931 - 2021

Elizabeth “Betty” Van Alstyne Mahigian passed away on January 11, 2021. Betty was born in Albany, NY and was predeceased by her parents Elmer and Eleanor (Ray) Van Alstyne. She was also predeceased by her husband of 68 years Haig “Ike” Mahigian (November 2020).

Betty is survived by her daughter, Lisa Mahigian Howard, her son, Mark (Virginia) Mahigian and granddaughter, Alyssa K. Howard. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Betty was also predeceased by her brother, Bill, a niece and a nephew.

I wish to extend my sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Atria Crossgate, past and present, for the loving care and support given to both of my parents, as well as to the staff of Kingsway Arms and Hospice who took care of and supported my mother during a very difficult time of her life and mine.

There will be no service at this time, as per my mother's wishes. During my parents lifetime, they were generous supporters of many charities. If you wish to honor my mother's memory, please consider making a donation to Koinonia Primary Care, 553 Clinton Ave., Albany, NY 12206, a local provider of health care to the underserved of Albany.
