COHOES - Wayne Hildreth, 68, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at his home in Cohoes, NY. Born in Albany NY, he was the son of the late John “Jack” Hildreth and the late Mary (Bowers) Hildreth.

He was raised in East Greenbush and attended East Greenbush schools. Wayne served in the US Army from 1971 to 1973. He was employed as a rotary forge operator at the Watervliet Arsenal from which he retired in 2015 after 34 years.

Wayne married the love of his life, Christine (Martin) Hildreth in December of 2001. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Wayne Vernott of Osage IA and Steven Hildreth of Castleton, NY; stepchildren, John (Toni) Zemken of Virginia Beach Va, Chelsea (Ethan) Durham of Jordanville, NY and Bree St.Louis of Waterford, NY; brothers, John (Barbara) Hildreth of Cohoes, NY and Paul (Wendy) Hildreth of Troy NY; sisters, RoseAnn Hildreth of Rensselaer, NY and MaryBeth Hildreth of Castleton NY, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He greatly loved and adored his grandchildren, Daiya, Ranen, Andrew, Violet, Sebastian and Zoe.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date in August at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Cohoes, NY.

A service with military honors will be held on Friday, July 24th at 9:30 AM at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.

Contributions in Wayne’s memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
