Josephine Whitbeck entered into eternal rest on May 4, 2020. Josephine was born on April 29, 1950 to the late Joseph Aaron Whitbeck and Minerva Scott Moore. She Grew up in Albany, NY and attended the Albany City Schools where she graduated. Josephine was employed by the NYS Nurses Association where she had worked for many years and later retired.

Josephine is predeceased by her mother, Minerva Scott Moore, her father, Joseph Aaron Whitbeck, the love of her life, Jacob Davis, her cousins: Carol Clayton and Linda Clayton, and her beloved great niece, Nubia Gilkes (Whitbeck).

Josephine is survived by her siblings: Mary L. Whitbeck, Bessie A. Whitbeck and Jacob R. Whitbeck, her loving children: Lanee Whitbeck, Harold Jackson, Helen Jackson (Albany, NY), Neal Floyd (Jacksonville, FL), her beautiful grandchildren: Angelina Jones, Marquis Jackson, Maria Jackson, Kasia Jackson, Ayanna Jackson, and her forever loving great-grandchildren.

Josephine is also survived by her first cousins Thomas Whitbeck, Michael Whitbeck, Cathy Clayton, Sandy Clayton, and Clifford Clayton all of Albany, NY, with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives, and dear friends.

Anyone and all who knew Josephine, knew that she was a very strong woman that held her own. She was a very caring, loving person with a compassionate soul. Josephine’s passion was cooking for family and quality time, especially holidays and birthdays. She would do anything she could for her family and friends, she would give the shirt off of her back. She loved all her family dearly, especially her children, grands and great grands. She was loved by so many and will dearly missed by all!
