Mrs.Dickson and her family lived down the street from my family in Antwerp.I remember walking to school past their house as a child, and I always was in awe at the "big brown house on the corner".She would sometimes catch us outside on our way home and give us chocolate chip cookies, she always waved and smiled when she would see us riding our bikes past her house as she sat on the porch.I was 13 years old when Marty passed,he was a good friend, even though he was older than me,he always stuck up for me when the other kids in town wasnt so kind to me.
Gods speed Mrs.Dickson, you will be missed by many, and rememebered by all....

My sincerest condolences Paul. I remember both of you fondly from my long ago youth and am reminded of you daily by the nice barn painting of yours that hangs in my bedroom. Bob

I remember Beryl as a sweet, loving and gracious person. She was a delight to know. Baryl was in a class all her own. I am extending sympathy to her family.

To Mr. Dickson and family,
So sorry to hear of your loss. I met Beryl many years ago when we were both teaching at the Albany Kripalu Yoga Center. I loved taking her class and always marveled at her adeptness in the physical postures of yoga but she also embodied all the finer points. She exuded calm and her gentle manner gave comfort to so many. Her classes were among the most popular with waiting lists a regular 'issue'. As a colleague she was also a mentor, teaching by example. I was so impressed that her gentle nature also extended to other creatures of nature and especially the work she did with trying to resolve, in a humane fashion, the problem with Canadian Geese in local parks and migration areas.
We lost touch a few years after the AKYC closed and I understood that she was enjoying her retirement years.
May God give you strength and peace at this difficult time,
Bonnie Furlong

Paul—I am so sorry for your loss. The world has lost a kind, warm intelligent and lively soul. And wonderful yoga teacher. I took classes with Beryl for several years, and remember the cheerful, inclusive environment she always created. I’ve long since moved to another part of the country and have experienced many yoga teachers since. She was the gold standard. I can still picture her, and hear her gentle laugh. Namaste.

Beryl Dickson was one of the kindest most considerate people I have ever met.
I knew her as my Yoga teacher. She would conduct an excellent class followed by an inspirational quote or two.
We would all leave feeling uplifted and peaceful.
My condolences to her family. May she rest in peace.
