Having known Ron for over twenty plus years , I can say he was the best friend anyone could ever ask for. I've seen him at his best and also at his worst but his words of wisdom he shared was always about his family , both his families ( his personal and military), and how they have helped him in trying times and good times. He will be missed by all whose lives he have touched in one way or the other. To his family I want you to know that you all were his pride and joy and that you all was the only awards that he couldn't wear on his uniform but know this if there was one he would have had it awarded many times over. He will be missed and you all my my gratitude for sharing him with the rest of us in the military.

I met Ronald when he an Valerie came from France to England. I was just 12 at the time. I think my mother, step father Pop and I could tell he was THE ONE for Val.
He was great company and there was lots of fun, music and I seem to remember dancing in the house.
My love goes to Valerie and all the family.

I remember Ron as a SSGT with the 210th Armor when he was one of our maintenance NCO's. Many a good times at Camp Drum..now Fort Drum with Ron, he could always be depended on being there when it was hard, muddy, wet, and cold, no slacker, he was all business until the missions were completed. God Speed Sergeant Major , see you in Fiddler's Green.
To Ron's loving family, May you find comfort in your memories and in the warm sympathy that goes out to you today.

Sending our deepest condolences to the family. Many of you were friends with Brian for years, and included me and then our girl Jennifer into your lives. I believe you all learned that from Mr. Smith, who always had a huge smile whenever he saw us. We are so sorry that the current situation doesn't allow us to be there, to share memories, and to share a hug. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love to you all.
