In Memory Of
Lylah Rae West

Lylah Rae West entered into heaven on January 4, 2020. She was born September 21, 2019, the beloved daughter of Aliyyah Thomas and Geovanny West at Albany Medical Center at the tender weight of 1lb 4ozs. While at Albany Medical Center, Lylah was visited daily by her mother who sang songs, knitted outfits and decorated her room often, and visited regularly by her father who read her books and most of all her favorite book “I Love You Forever.” Although her time on earth was brief, Lylah truly fought a good fight and grew to over 5lbs. Lylah graced her parents and family with her brown eyes, her tender voice and her strength. Lylah lived a purposeful life in that she touched many lives and helped to strengthen relationships throughout the family. Lylah is predeceased by her grandmother Jody Dove and her great-grandmother Susan Kenna. Lylah’s smile and her will to live was her way of letting us know, that she knew she was loved dearly by her parents and her family.

Lylah leaves to cherish her memories her mother Aliyyah Thomas, father Geovanny West, grandmother Marissa Fuentes (Ernesto), grandfather Gilbert West (Tiera), grandfather Percy Thomas, great-grandmother Angela West, great-grandmother Carmen Fuentes and a host of aunties, uncles, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church, 26 Wilson Avenue, Albany, New York on Monday January 13, 2020 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held Monday January 13, 2020 at 11:00 am at Macedonia Baptist Church. Entombment will follow the service at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, New York
