Walter H. Crawford age 70, of Colonie, New York passed away November 4, 2019 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Walter was born February 17, 1949, in Albany, New York, the son of the late Samuel and Estelle Crawford. He was the devoted husband to Joyce Crawford for 38 years.

After graduating high school Walter was soon called to serve his country. He served in Korea. Upon returning home he worked as a phlebotomist and as a Certified Nurses Aid for many years.

Walter loved the country, and after retiring, spent many happy days fishing and camping with his family. He loved being with his family and friends and helping others.

He was preceded by his father, Samuel Crawford, Sr.; mother, Estelle Crawford; brother, Samuel Crawford, Jr.

Survivors include his devoted loving wife, Joyce; daughters, Tracy Lillard and Tia Crawford; sons, Keith and Brian Lillard; brothers, Henry and Luke Crawford; step-sister, Sandy Crawford; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, New York on Tuesday November 12, 2019 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Tuesday November 12, 2019 at 12:00 pm.
