Richfield Springs- Helen P. Gachowski, 89, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 with her sons by her side. Born at home in Richfield Springs, New York, Helen was the daughter of the late Harry and Johanna Palyga and the loving wife of the late Benjamin A. Gachowski Jr.
Helen was a lifelong farmer taking over after her parents passing. They went on to retire in 1989. She enjoyed many things but above all she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
In 2000, Helen moved to Malta to be closer to her son Bryan where she resided until her passing.
Helen is survived by her two sons, Gregory P. Gachowski (Barbara) and Bryan A. Gachowski (Laura). She was the loving grandmother to, Jamie Marie Gachowski, Stephanie Jane Hample, Michael J. Gachowski, Benjamin L. Gachowski, Jacob P. Gachowski and Leah C. Gachowski.
Funeral services are anticipating to take place on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 11:00am, at St Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church, 305 Main Rd, Herkimer, NY 13350.
Interment will follow at St. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Herkimer.
