Betty Jean Powell 65, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Capstone Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Amsterdam She was born to Carrie Powell and Roy Tribbet on June 3, 1953 in Queens, NY.

Betty attended Sheepshead Bay High School in Brooklyn NY. The last six years she lived between Schenectady and Amsterdam, NY.

She is preceded in death by her husband Fred Dantzler, her mother Carrie Powell, her father Roy Tribbet, and her brothers Leon "Leo" Powell and Alfonso "Al" Powell.

Betty Jean leaves to her cherished memory: her son William Dantzler, stepdaughter Samantha Dantzler, stepson Linden Dantzler, her niece and caretaker Tiffany Cohen, her sisters Arlene Spinks, Kathleen Powell, Shirley Powell, Jessie "Cookie" Powell, brothers Roy Powell and Thomas "Tommy" Powell, followed by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 14, at 3:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will preceded the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
