NISKAYUNA- Donald H. Jarvis, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 4, 2018.
Don was born in Amsterdam, NY to the late Edward and Lucy Jarvis Jr., on September 9, 1948. Don served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during Vietnam, stationed in Thailand. On April 14, 1973 Don married the love of his life, Patricia. They were together for over 45 years. Don worked as a Machinist for G.E. for over 20 years. Don will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His passion in life was his family.
He was predeceased by his parents: Edward H. Jarvis Jr. and Lucy G. Jarvis (Lavigne); by his brothers, Peter, Robert, Christopher, and Michael; and by his sister, Christine.
Don is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia A. Jarvis, his son, Jeremy (Kim DeGennaro), his grandsons, Tristen, Aiden, and Cameron, his siblings: Edward N. Jarvis (Daryl), Joseph H. A. Jarvis (Rebecca), Lucy A. Lewis (Merlin), Eleanor A. Bradt (James), Donna I. Thorne (Kenneth), and Mary A. Smith; as well as by his many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Clare’s Catholic Church, 1947 Central Ave, Albany, NY 12205, on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 10:00am. Burial will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon, Saratoga National Cemetery, Saratoga, NY.
