BUFFALO- Marjorie Ball Gilmore, age 100, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2018 at her daughter Lynn’s home in Clifton Park.

She was born in Frostburg, MD on July 12, 1918, the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Ball. She was predeceased by her husband, James William Gilmore (Bus), son James David Gilmore, siblings: Anna Wilson, Benjamin Ball, Samuel Ball and Helen Nailor.

Marjorie was a successful entrepreneur, owning her own clothing business.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Canton and son in law, Cecil Canton; her grandchildren: Leigh Ann Martin, Lauren Merchant, Jacquelyn Guzman, Jeffrey Canton and Kendra Lynn Canton; great grandchildren: Amani James Martin, Kristopher Merchant, Craig Merchant, Sakaiya Leigh Martin, Isaiah, Jacob Jones, Marissa Guzman and Eraena Fraites; great great grandson, Kellan Michael Martin; nieces: Barbara Cannon, Brenda Farmer, Marcella Wilson, Joyce Banks; nephew, Jesse Nailor and a host cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Friday, December 7 from 11 a.m. to 12 Noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY. A service will follow at 12 Noon. Interment will be at Memory Gardens, Colonie, NY.
