Ballston Spa- Maria J. Johnson, 75, entered peacefully into the eternal arms of the Lord on Sunday, November 4, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on January 12, 1943 to John and Anella D’Ambrosio, Maria attended St. Adelbert’s School and graduated from Mohonasen High School in 1960. After graduating, Maria became a homemaker, lovingly raising 3 children. She was a phenomenal artist and incredibly creative crafter who also enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, and playing the piano. Maria treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, John and Anella D’Ambrosio, and sister-in-law, Janet D’Ambrosio. Maria’s gentle, loving and generous spirit will be forever in the hearts and memories of her children, Kevin Johnson (Lisa), Colleen Tobey (Peter), Heather Potter (Aaron); brothers, Butch D’Ambrosio and Michael D’Ambrosio (Lisa); grandchildren, Megan and Carter Johnson, Jessica, Jonathan, and Kayla Tobey, Sarah Emerich and Hannah Potter; cousin, Ann Freer, who was like a sister to her; and many nieces and nephews.
