Geraldine Carvill, 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, with her loving family by her side. Born on May 2, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Helen Wieland. Geraldine was the devoted wife of over 50 years to the late Alfred W. Carvill. She is also predeceased by her daughter, Margaret Evans and siblings, Frederick Wieland, Donald Wieland and Ruth Wade.

Geraldine was a communicant of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Albany, NY. She enjoyed camping, boating, crocheting, spending time with friends, old and new and memories made on outings with her ladies group. But above all of that, Geraldine cherished her family and watching her grandchildren grow up.

Geraldine is survived by her son, Joseph (Karin) Carvill, her daughter, Linda (James) Valenti, a son, Alfred Carvill and a daughter, Deborah, grandchildren, Matthew Carvill, Timothy Carvill, LisaMarie (Greg) McGill and James (Carrie) Valenti. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Wieland and her sister, Helen LaBello, whose company she treasured, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY on Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A prayer service will follow the calling hours at 12 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands, NY.
