Robert T. "Uncle Bob" King
1944 - 2018

West Coxsackie- Robert T. “Uncle Bob”King, 73, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 13, 2018. The son of the late William A. and Dorothy (Lafferty) King, Jr., Bob was born on December 3, 1944 in Albany, NY. Bob was raised in the South End of Arbor Hill and attended Phillip Schuyler School, graduating in 1962. He worked for 37 years for New York State at the Attorney General’s Office in Albany. Bob loved to travel and spend time with his many friends and family. He enjoyed watching football with his nephew, rooting for the New England Patriots.

In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his sister Clara Filkins and his brothers, William A. King, III, Jack B-Tag and Brian King. Bob is survived by his nephew and caretaker, William A. (Rebecca) King, IV; his brother, Patrick King; his sister, Suzy MacFarlane; his nieces and nephews: Jackie Albino, Scott (Susie) King, Sue (Paul) Sherr, Stacie, Matthew and Jason Filkins, Nate (Amy) and Norman King; he is also survived by several great-nieces, great- nephews, cousins and friends.

Uncle Bob’s family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Greene County Hospice and Mary Lou Pyle for their compassionate and loving care.

Visitation will be from 12 pm to 1:30 pm on Thursday, October 18 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
