Elna Graham, 75, was born on September 12, 1942 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Tommie Lee (Minnie Lee Chambers) Wilson in Waynesboro, MS. She was the second of four children born to this union.
She departed this life on June 2, 2018 at St. Peter's Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and united with Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Albany, NY. She was a faithful member there until her health began to fail.
Elna Mae moved to Albany nearly fifty years ago. She worked as a practical nurse in Albany, NY for over 30 years until her retirement. She enjoyed cooking, going to church, and spending time with family and close friends.
Her loving and lifetime companion of more than 40 years, Love Cook, her parents, and her brothers: Tommie Lee and Eddie C. Wilson all preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one sibling, Minnie Vera Ray (Laurel, MS), a stepdaughter, Patricia Bland, a stepson, Willie "Pop" (Jocelyn) Bland (both of Albany, NY), a devoted grandnephew, Dr. Marauo (Phylicia) Davis (Waynesboro, MS), close friends: Vera, Helen, and Ann (Albany, NY); five nieces: Edna Fay Ray, Lisa Ray, Catherine Ray-Falconer, Melissa Ray, and Rachel Wilson, and two nephews: James Wilson and Ronnie Ray. A host of other great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends will miss her immensely.
Elna Mae was very grateful for the helping hands of Haywood Watson and Jasper Blecher. Those who knew her well and loved her will always remember her sassy demeanor and kind spirit.
