On April 7, 2018 Jose Ramon Torres, Jr. was called home and departed this life at the age of 36. Jose was born on July 25, 1981. He is he the son of Rachels Santiago and Jose R. Torres Sr. and stepson to Derrick Carrington. Jose was born in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He was raised in the Bronx, New York and Troy, New York.

Jose attended Doyle Middle School, graduated from Troy High School and attended Hudson Valley Community College as well as served for the US Navy. Jose was a great cook and worked for a variety of restaurants. He was very talented. Jose was a kind-hearted man who helped his friends. Jose was an excellent father who loved and cherished his children Javein Blaz Gourrier-Torres, Joseph Ramon Torres, Jacob Torres, and Joell Emmanuel Torres. He was beloved by his siblings and will be forever missed by Tealye Pinet, Norma Sanitago, Anthony Santiago (Chay) and Isabella Lugo and stepbrothers Shawnn Carrington and Derrick Carrington. He will be deeply missed by his Nieces and Nephews: Damani Murray, Darell Murray (Norma), Amya Santiago, Anthony Santiago Jr. (Anthony), and Hector Flores III, Lillyanna Pinet (Tealye). He will also be missed by his grandmother Carmen Santiago and his aunts and uncles; Freddie Torres, Evelyn Torres, Norma Torres, Elizabeth Torres, Ada Torres, Lizette Torres, Saul Santiago and Paul Santiago.

Jose was a great family man, loving husband, beloved brother, son, father, and friend who will be remembered for his wit, charm, sense of humor, care free spirit, contagious smile, and huge heart. His light will continue to shine in all of us!
