Schenectady - Ronald โ€œRonโ€ J. Casey, Jr., 42, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 8, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Patricia (Ashby) and Ronald J. Casey, Sr.
Ron was born December 3, 1975, in Carmel, New York and attended Arlington Schools until his graduation, in 1994. He attended SUNY Albany where he started his career of 24 years working for Barnes & Noble. He loved his job, as a Textbook Inventory Manager and enjoyed every day with all his co-workers.

Ron was a man who poured himself into everything he did. For years, he worked as an EMT and loved every minute. He was an impressive chef in the kitchen and could whip up any creation you could imagine. He had a passion for traveling and trying new foods wherever life brought him. He loved knowledge and learning, but his favorite moments were when he was surrounded by his wife, sons, family and friends. His boys will forever be his light shining for the world to see.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sasha (McAuliffe), of 12 years, his two sons, Colin and Henry, his mother Ellen Casey, of Poughquag, his siblings, Tara Cirigliano (Matthew DeHond) of Hopewell Junction, Michael Casey (Lance) of New London, CT, Daniel Cirigliano (Kelly) of Sidney, Kari Atkins (Heather) of LaGrange, his grandparents, Mary & Charles Steinitz, of North Fort Myers, Fla. He is also survived by his in-laws, Martelu & John McAuliffe of Canandaigua, his brother-in-law, Shane McAuliffe (Veronica) of Irondequoit, his Grandmother-in-law, Christine McDonald of Canandaigua, his nine nieces and nephews, Ava, Brody, Gabriel, Casey, Dylan, Griffin, Juliella, Larkin & Asher, as well as the many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, he had an incredible impact on.

He was predeceased by both his parents, his maternal Grandmother, Charlotte Ashby and his beloved dog, Dublin.
Visitation will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Milltown Cemetery, Brewster, NY at a later date determined by the family.
