Averill Park- Richard “Ricky” Bruhns, 63, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at home with his loving wife by his side.

Born on September 22, 1954 in Delanson, NY, son of the late Adolf and Marie Gronwoldt Bruhns. Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Diane Thibeault Bruhns. Ricky is predeceased by his brother, Harold Bruhns (Irene). Ricky is survived by his brother Robert Bruhns (Cynthia), stepson David Greene (Stacy), stepdaughter Sarah Jones; as well as several nieces, nephews, and eight grandchildren who loved him dearly.

Ricky was a graduate of Schalmont High School and Hudson Valley Community College.

Ricky was a genuine person with a genuine heart. He was known for his boisterous laugh, smile, and sense of humor. Ricky had a love for animals, riding his Harley, touring the campgrounds on his golf cart and hanging out with his camping friends with a bonfire and music.

Calling hours for Ricky will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie NY. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2019 at 10am at Schenectady Memorial Park.
