ALBANY_Betty Chesebro, 88, passed away on April 28, 2016 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center.

She was born on March 22, 1928 to the late Edward and Vivian (MacMillan) Pittz in Albany.

On June 7, 1952 Betty married LeRoy Chesebro, Jr. Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who spent her life caring for her family. She will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege to know and love her.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, LeRoy; children, Marilyn (Kenneth) Schultz, Karen Chesebro, Douglas Chesebro, Richard Chesebro, Nancy O'Connor, Roger Chesebro; grandsons, Justin Schultz, Christopher Schultz, Brian O'Connor, Sean O'Connor; great-granddaughter, Kailee Schultz; sister, Lorinda Deitz, Rosemary Blodgett and her 2 beloved granddogs, Bailey and Lexy and several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her 6 siblings, Helen, Edward, Vincent, Audrey, John and Seward.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 11:30am to 1:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. A funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00pm at New Comer Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Prospect Hill Cemetery.
