Voorheesville- Helene Margaret Murray,86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29th, 2015 at Kenwood Manor, Delmar after a brief illness. Helene and her late husband Jack had spent winters in Largo, FL for twenty years. Born in Albany she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Agnes Sommers and for 64 years the wife of John “Jack” Murray who predeceased her in 2014. For thirty years Helene worked for the Albany Times Union Newspaper as an advertising solicitor. She was a parishioner of St. Matthews Church in Voorheesville for 56 years.

Helene will be truly missed by her family and those who knew her. Helene is predeceased by her beloved grandson, Tom Szesnat.

Helene is survived by her daugthers Jacqueline (John) McClintock of Altamont, Betty Ann Szesnat (Paul Smyth) of Guilderland and her son John (Denise) Murray of Delmar. Helene is also survived by her five grandsons whom she truly loved, Jeremy and Kevin (Katie) McClintock, Daniel (Kathy) Szesnat, Derek and Adam Murray, and two great grandsons Tristan and John Parker Szesnat. The family would like to thank all of the staff from Kenwood Manor, Delmar for all their loving care and kindness for our mother.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 3rd, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Matthews Church, 25 Mountainview St. Voorheesville, NY 12186.

Callings hours will be held Sunday, August 2nd,2015 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at NewComer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd, Albany,NY 12205. Interment will follow the service at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
