COLONIE-Therese Marie Bergeron, 89, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015. She was born in Schenectady, NY the daughter of the late Earl Joseph and Antoinette (Hebert) Chamberland. Therese was the graduate of St. Columba’s School and a member of St. Clare’s Church. She volunteered on several committees within the church and the local community.
She is survived by her loving children, Br. Edward E. Bergeron, CFC, Catherine A. (Robert) MacMillan and John T. (Cyndi) Bergeron; her cherished grandchildren James (Kim) MacMillan, Brian MacMillan and Taylor Bergeron and her cherished great -grandchildren Victoria, Isabella, Thomas, Abel and Harlow Rose MacMillan. She is also survived by her siblings, Arlene A. Chamberland and George T. Chamberland and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Therese was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Thomas A. Bergeron, who died on May 9, 2010 and by her siblings Lorraine Conahan, Earl J., Howard A., Larry W. Chamberland and Sr. Rose Marie Chamberland, CSJ.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at St. Clare’s Church, Colonie.
The interment will be private for the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare’s Church, 1947 Central Avenue, Albany, NY 12205 or a charity of one’s choice.
