Colonie- Elaine B. Levesque, 88, was called home to be with the Lord on Sept. 4, 2017. Born on Sept. 3, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marion Leitch.

She was married to the love of her life, Charles R. Levesque for more than 63 years. She was predeceased by her beloved son Richard Levesque. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her daughter, Tammy Smith; son-in-law, Rick Smith; daughter-in-law, Michelle Levesque; and grandson, Matthew Levesque; sisters, Marion Fuchs, Dorothy Cook; and brother Robert Leitch; brother-in-law, John Levesque; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Elaine's passion in life was children. She taught Sunday School at Our Savior's Lutheran Church for more than 40 years and babysat over 100 children in her lifetime. The family would like to give special thanks to Hudson Park Nursing Home, 3rd floor staff for making her final days comfortable and filled with love.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 63 Mountain View Ave., Colonie. Interment will immediately follow in St. John's Lutheran's Cemetery, Colonie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Elaine's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hosptial.
