Terrence Demetrius Manwell(Deke) Roberts, 46, suddenly departed this life on Father’s Day June 18, 2017 in Albany, NY.

Deke was born May 27th, 1971 in Laurel, MS. He lived in Altair, MS and attend Beat Four Elementary and Jr. High school. Deke later attended High School in Waynesboro, MS. At an early age he joined Altair Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully as a young child.

Deke moved to Albany, NY met and married the Love of his Life his beautiful wife Stephanie Sanders where he remained until the time of his death. He was employed at Childs Nursing Home and later became employed at Memorial Hospital. Deke was well loved by his co-workers and will forever be remembered for his contagious smile.

He leaves a legacy of love cherish by his loving wife Stephanie (Sanders) Roberts of Albany, NY. Four daughters Alexandria Roberts of Washington, DC, Trelinda Roberts of Maryland, Idora Terrell of Shubuta, MS, DonQuavia Roberts of Bay Springs, MS. A loving mother and stepfather Joe Lee Lang of Shubuta, MS, Andrew Evans and step-mother Betty Ann Evans Laurel, MS, Mother In-Law Mary Terrell Arrington Albany NY. Five sisters LaQuanda Roberts (Kenneth), Katrina Lacey(Gerrod), LaTonya McGill (Doug), LaTasha Evans Waynesboro, MS, Tammy Lacey of Buckatunna, MS. Four brothers Joesph Lang of Dallas, TX, Carlos Lang Shubuta, MS, Marcus Evans (Victoria) Lateyette, LA, Rodney Evans(Leigh) of Husdon, TX. He was predeceased in death by one son A’deujuan Ali-jah Ali Adams. Four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and all of Shubuta, MS.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 2-3pm at Elijah Missionary Church, 74 2nd St., Albany, NY 12209. A Home Going Celebration will begin at 3pm.
