Harriet was born in Schenectady, NY to the late Albert and Mary Zampella on November 12, 1925. On February 16, 1945 Harriet married the love of her life, Harold P. Goodrich. Together they had four daughters. Harriet and Harold spent many years in the military and they were stationed all over the country and for three years in Okinawa, Japan. Harriet’s passion in life was her family and she will be remembered for her love of Bridge, Bingo, and playing cards. Her family will greatly miss her homemade sauce.
Harriet is predeceased by her loving husband, Harold P. Goodrich, and her daughter, Patty A. Young.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Larry) Dailey, Peggy (Larry) Sipperly, and Sue (Don) Baldwin, her step-son, Thom Goodrich, her grandchildren, Kim (Eddie), Michael (Donna), Tammy (David), Donny (Michelle), Holly (Scott), Melissa, David (Jamie), Kelly (Chris), and Keith, and her 17 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 23 Crumitie Rd, Loudonville, NY 12211, at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 24, 2017.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Harriet’s name to the Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
