Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Palmer, 90, of Clifton Park, NY passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 23, 2023.

Born on January 19, 1933 in Albany, NY, Betty was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine Gottstein. She served as an operator and later a draftsman for New York Telephone.

Betty was a devout Catholic, and loved listening to Engelbert Humperdinck songs, raising Siamese cats, rescuing greyhounds, gardening, and reading the newspaper.

Betty is survived by her older sibling, Sister Theresa Gottstein RSM; her children, Lisbeth (Ron) Schutz, Rich (Debbie) Camarota, Rickie Hatlee, and Joy (Chuck) Walthers; her grandchildren, Sabrina (Scott) Eaton, Brad (Rebekah) Schutz, Vanessa (Neal) McDonald, Tyler Camarota, Corrine (Geoff) Walthers Scarchilli and David Walthers; and her great grandchildren, Scottie, Mason & Landon Eaton, Shepherd & Eli Schutz, and Elly & Rory McDonald.

Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Florian Roth, and her ex-husbands, Angelo Camarota and Richard Palmer.

A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at a later date.
