He was born February 19, 1950 in Albany, New York. He was the son of the late Robert E. Fulston and Catherine (Eugene) Pratt.
Robert attended Philip Schuyler High School, and then served in the U.S. Navy at the NAWF in Machrihanish, Scotland. He retired from Freihofer's Bakery and later worked at 3N Document Destruction Co., which he enjoyed immensely. Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and friends (especially his grandchildren), boating, fishing, going out to eat, and rooting on his favorite sports teams (Steelers, Miami Hurricanes, Celtics, and Red Sox). He took pride in his home, especially his self-proclaimed “cleanest pool in town.” He also enjoyed listening and dancing to his favorite music. Robert always knew how to make people laugh, and was often referred to as “the life of the party.” He was always willing to lend a hand, even if he was borrowing everyone else’s tools to do it!
Robert is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara, his children Kevin (Jennifer), Stephen, Rachel (Kaitlyn), Robert, Jennifer (John), his beloved grandchildren, Adrian, Nova, Ryder, Eilidh, and Kirsten. He is also survived by his sister Beverly (Joseph), Irene (John), Charmaine, his mother-in-law Dolores, and several nieces and nephews.
Robert is predeceased by his parents Robert, Catherine, and Eugene, his sisters Katherine (John), and Mary.
Friends and family are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie NY 12205. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 2 at 10:00 AM at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Dr, Albany NY 12211.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Christ Our Light Catholic Church food pantry.
