Anthony J. "Tony" Melite Sr, 78, entered into eternal life on Thursday, December 1, 2022 with his loving family by his side.

Tony was born in 1944 in Troy and was the son of the late Joseph J. and Dorothy F. (Medici) Melite.

He was a graduate of Watervliet High School. Tony was a Vietnam Veteran serving with the United States Army from 1965 to 1967.

He enjoyed his Bible studies, cooking and fishing.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his siblings Joseph Melite Jr. and Mary Theresa (Paul) Johnson.

Tony is survived by his devoted wife of over 55 years Nadine A. (Close) Melite, his siblings Veronica (Timothy) Myers and Joanne Melite Collins. His loving children Anthony J. (Christine) Melite Jr., Susan Joseph and Regina (Chris) Hulsaver. As well as his adored grandchildren Zachary, Kayleigh, Jacob, Joseph, Analicia, Nick and Kyle as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY on Wednesday December 7, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, at 2:00 pm all are invited.
