William A. Jackson, 87, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the Teresian House.

Born July 1, 1935, in Syracuse, New York, he was the son of the late Charles Wesley and Alberta Davis Jackson.

He graduated from Fayetteville High School, Fayetteville, NY, and served in the U.S. Army and Coast Guard. He later ran the Overhead Door Company of Albany and after selling the business was a private contractor. The outdoors is where he felt most at home. His passion was duck and deer hunting, fishing and he was an avid wildlife conservationist, as a member of Ducks Unlimited. Bill was also a lifetime member of the West Albany Rod and Gun Club.

Bill's love for his family was his greatest joy. He is survived by his son David (Diane) of Rotterdam, NY and his daughters, Deb of Albany, NY and Marcia (Nick) of Voorheesville, NY. He is also survived by six granddaughters, Lindsey, Rachel, Sarah, Jessica, Alexandra and Taylor and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his two brothers, Wesley of Ohio and Richard
(Martha) of NY and several nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents as well as his sister Barbara.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Teresian House for their kindness and extraordinary care. Memorial donations in Bill's name may be made to Ducks Unlimited, Inc. by visiting www.ducks.org.
