GUILDERLAND – Edward Joseph Foy Jr. (Mick), 89, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 27, 2022.

He was born in Valley Stream, NY on August 22, 1932, the eldest of 13 children. He was the son of the late Edward J. and Gladys A. (Kalista) Foy.

Mick was a US Army Veteran and retired member of the National Gard.
He was employed by Sealed Air in Scotia, NY from where he retired.

He was a life-member of the Lake Desolation Volunteer Fire Department. He was an old-time movie lover and enjoyed watching football and Nascar.

He was predeceased by his wife Catherine (Kate); daughter, Margaret and son Richard.

Edward is survived by 2 sons, Edward J. Foy, Sr. and James D. Foy (Lori); 4 grandchildren; Melissa, Eddie, Lucas and Meghan and 2 great grandchildren, Taylor and Payton.

Mick was a kind man and was beloved by all that knew him. He was full of laughter and was able to put a smile on everyone's face.

Remembrances may be made to the Saratoga County Animal Shelter.

Private services will be held at Saratoga National at a future date. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Colonie.
