Guilderland – Kaye Alyse O’Connor, 78 beloved mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at home on Friday June 24th, 2022, unexpectedly.

Kaye developed a passion and drive to help others at an early age. After graduating Russel Sage College, she worked for the American Red Cross before moving on to St. Peters Hospital where she spent the remainder of her career where she worked both in the hospital and out in the community as a social worker.

Kaye was an amazing woman, mother and grandmother. She was a strong independent woman who always put the needs of others above her own. She most enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandson.

When she was younger, Kaye enjoyed spending weekends playing golf and swimming at the Albany Country Club. A talented golfer she even won several tournaments at the club.

Kaye is survived by her son Sean P. O’Connor & his wife Danielle O’Connor, grandson Matthew James O’Connor, sister Joan Koschorreck, as well as her nieces Heather Hilleboe Moore and Sara Hilleboe and one big fluffy cat named Sam.

She was predeceased by her father, Gustav Koschorreck and her mother Ethel Koschorreck.

Kaye’s family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, July 1st from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205.

Funeral services will commence at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 2nd at the New Comer Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Albany, NY 12205.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kaye’s memory may be made to the Guilderland Fire Department 2303 Western Avenue, Guilderland NY 12084.
