Born on April 7, 1949 in Churchville NY, Susan was the daughter of John and Bess Freeman.
Following high school, Susan began her nursing education at D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY. Following several years as a nurse, she pursued a master’s degree in social work, after which she was a social worker for Albany County Department of Social Services.
Susan is survived by three sisters: Teresa (John) McFee of Arizona, Janis Siegel of Maryland, and Lisa Freeman (Thomas) Skeen of Holley, NY. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother John. Susan is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Susan loved her many rescue cats, her Yankees, and being a friend of Bill.
A memorial service will be held on June 1, 2022 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals at 181 Troy Schenectady Rd., Watervliet, NY at 1:00 PM. Gathering for visitation before the service will be from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. A link for the live-streaming of the service will be released on the website, www.newcomeralbany.com
