Albany- Willie “William” Cook, 70, passed away peacefully with his daughter by his side on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late James and Louise Cook.

William was a proud medic veteran with the United States Army.

William is survived by his two daughters, Denarsha C. Cook and Jennifer Cook. William will also be missed by his four grandsons, Markel, Lanier, Elijah and Jahaad.

William is also survived by his two siblings Edward Cook (Beth) and Carol Robinson (Eldridge) and their children to whom he was “Uncle Willie” to. William is also to be loved and missed by his oldest aunt, Louise Frost and his two nieces Mary Ellis and Connie Brown and host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to William’s girlfriend, Brenda Geathers for the love and care given to William.

In addition to his parents, William is predeceased by his son, Willie Cook Jr., his first wife , Faye Cook and his second wife Diana Cook.

Calling hour, Tuesday, May 31, 2022, 10:30am-11:30am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals. Funeral service to begin at 11:30am at the funeral home with interment and military honors at Saratoga National Cemetery.
